Whilst in London I went to watch Six written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, a musical based on the six wives of Henry VIII. It had a really modern feel and the costumes were really impressive, each had the right feel for the character but were all cohesive and it really brought the piece together. There wasn't much in the way of set and the band were on stage with the actors and involved with the performance which was nice as usually live musicians are in the pit below.
There was a range of songs in different styles which kept the performance interesting and engaging and the lighting used with each song really helped give atmosphere especially since there was no set changes.
